We were having a great time at this restaurant until the end of our night when we had a bad experience with our waitress. Even though none of us really liked our food (it just wasn't good), we were having a good time, watching the little lady do her belly dance and enjoying the atmosphere in general. At the end of the night, when it came time for the waitress to get us our bill, we asked for seperate bills but she said it was not possible. Fine, no big deal.. we didn't have a problem splitting up the bill... We asked her if she could calculate calculate for us what each of us owed since none of us had calculators in our back pocket, but she said she couldn't because it was just too busy. So we estimated how much each of our meals were going to cost with tax and tip included. Apparently we fell a little short with the tip. It was a $230 dollar bill but since we mis-calculated, we ended up at the cashier with only a $15 dollar tip. I was just about to correct our mistake and ask the rest of the girls to pitch in more money, when the waitress rudely asked why we were only giving her a $15 dollar tip. I don't care how little of a tip someone gives you, intentionally or unintentionally, you should NEVER ask for more of a tip.. it makes you look rude and cheap. She rudely said to us "You're only giving me a 15 dollar tip?" how pathetic! The waitress actually caused a scene at the cashier desk because we didn't give her more of a tip! which was a mistake that i was willing to correct! But after that i didn't want to give anything. So i threw five bucks in her face and left. That's what she deserved... That waitress has forever given a bad name to that restaurant... and i will never go back... it's not like the food is to die for or anything if your going to have bad food served in your restaurant, the least you could do is have good service. A definite miss.
Great atmosphere, but very disappointed with food's quality. Big portion for the 3rd course but not tasty at all for the price they charge. Watch out for the little additional charges, they really add up. My friend ordered the Coucous Royale, absolutely bland & unappetizing. Note to mention, service was quick and friendly. It's one of those places where you go for once just for the experience.
Overall the atmosphere was nice. The belly dancers were hot. But the main reason, the food was no appealing. I did not enjoy the meal, neither did my partner. The food was very bland, and not tasty. I would not recommend any of my friends to go there.
My husband and I have visited the Sultan's Tent on many many occasions and cannot rave enough about it. The ambiance and food are top notch, and the belling dancers are a great touch to the whole Moroccan theme. Their lamb shank is by far the best I have ever tasted. Love the creme brule! Service & management is great, always willing to please & suggest. The best French/Moroccan restaurant in Toronto by far!!! Great Experience a must try!
We went for a ladies night get together. Ambiance was wonderful, food was great, especially the morrocan frites and the mouftoul (cigar shaped pastry with spicy beef inside). We had great service. There was only one belly dancer which was disappointing, would have like to see about 2 at least going around from tent to tent. Order what is on the set menu, or you will be paying quite more. Worth the $39.99 for the 4 courses. Good portions. Very satisfied will go again and again. Air conditioning was not working, but they had fans and I think it added to the whole arabian feel of the place.

This decadent and singular tribute to Moroccan merrymaking is always in party mode. Here, soon-to-be-marrieds can find much levity to divert them from the gravity of their looming nuptials, including bare-midriffed belly dancers and a lavish décor decked out in rich pillows and drapes. Staff here will happily step in to help you plan your event.
