Long considered a drink of the people, beer has acquired some prestige in recent years thanks to the emergence of many bold microbreweries.
Wanting to help people discover the best brew on the beer market, Patrice Fortin-Lavoie and Carl Péloquin opened the first branch of Veux-tu une bière? in Villeray in 2011. "At the time, there wasn't much in Montreal for beer lovers, so we opened a store with the best possible and available selection of beer," explains Patrice. "The rest of the products offered in the store are there for convenience. You can actually do a bit of grocery shopping." Patrice likens it to a convenience store, but with quality Quebec cheeses and microbrewery beer.
