Café Parvis is owned by Montreal’s foremost dining scene octet, which alone is reason enough to give it a try. The partnership–members of which are behind Montreal’s staples La Buvette chez Simone and Furco, amongst others–opened Parvis in January 2014 as a way to complement sister restaurant and neighbour Furco’s offering.
"Furco being wildly successful for happy hours and dinners, we didn’t have the human and material resources to do a lunch service," explains Jean-François Gladu, partner in both Furco and Café Parvis. "As Furco is very popular with the swanky, professional crowd, the café is geared more towards families, casual diners and daytime wanderers."

Pizzas are nice but globally the menu is not distinctive. Nice athmosphere with old school rap. Staff is friendly

Café Parvis is located on Mayor, a small street in the Quartier des Spectacles. In the summer months, they have a terrasse surrounded by lights and plants and, with recent renovations they expanded their interior capacity as well. Their salads can be ordered in three sizes, depending on your level of hungry. We ordered the avocado salad with chicory, cherry tomatoes and a citrus vinaigrette made with orange, xérés and honey. The salad was light, fresh, healthy, and still filling, perfect for the warm weather when you don’t want something heavy.

If you like their pizzas, not to mention the service, and decor by Zébulon Perron, you will also enjoy their breakfast, served daily from 7 am. Their coffee comes from a Montreal roasting house, their fruit juice is freshly made, and their pastries are enticing. The dining room is spacious enough for private conversations, and if you are with a large group, the side alcove will be perfect. Since it's located on a quiet street, the terrace is another option.
