An interesting atmosphere, friendly staff and great food. Would recommend highy.
Have dined at this restaurant many times over the years, and it's the case that standards have declined somewhat in recent times. Portions seem to have been reduced, quality can be quite unpredictable (definately lower on average than 5 or 10 years ago), and the prices climb ever higher. The ambiance remains great, but there are new restaurants springing up in Kingston that are providing stiff competition.
The food was fantastic. The waiter very attentive. My siblings had never been and they enjoyed it immensely. I am going again in October. We will all return this Fall and next Spring 2007. We really enjoyed being on the patio - it was a gorgeous day.
Eclectic menu, idiosyncratic service (don't get me wrong: very friendly and competent, but not your average Joe Waiter doing time while finishing college degree - odd, well-informed, and very comfortable in their environs), and very varied wine list. Altogether enjoyable.
Chez Piggy has a great atmosphere and being on the patio is great. But over the past while the food and the menu have really gone down hill while the prices have not. Not sure if that is strike 2 or 3 for them, its location and atmosphere are the only thing saving it at this point.
