We have visited here on many occassions. It is our favourite restaurant. We return as often as possible. We have ordered various items off of the menu and we have never been let down. Both lunch and dinner are great and you get tons of food. There are great take-out offers as well. The prices are amazing for the amount of food that you get. We definately reccommend this restaurant to all Thai food lovers or to those wanting to try Thai food for the first time. They are very accomodating and will make your meal only as spicy as you want it. If you want to visit a restaurant that won't let you down, Spicy Thai is that place.

This was a great place to eat. The spring rolls were crispy, the mango salad was sweet, tangy, and crunchy. The coconut soup had a nice creamy broth, and there were floating pieces of fried tofu that were really nice. As for the pad thai, it was the nicest I've had in a long time. The shrimp was cooked perfectly, the sauce wasn't overpowering. We found the service was a little too fast at the beginning, as we hadn't even finished out appetizers before our meal came out. The waitress seemed like she was rushing us a little. Then, when I wanted to finish my wine before looking at dessert, she didn't come back for ages. It's not really a big complaint, it just would have been nicer with some consistency. As for the purple rice pudding, it was served warm and creamy with a good scoop of ice cream, with crunchy bits of toasted coconut on top. Yum! I'd love to go back just for more of that.

Am a regular here, great choices and perfect for vegetarians and vegans. The fact that they acknowledge vegans in their menu is great. Best pad thai in the city, hands down. Great appetizers and always have great service. Take-out is also awesome.

I've been going to Spicy Thai for almost 8 years...

I've been going to Spicy Thai for almost 8 years and I love it. Its so dingy from the outside but the inside is gorgeous - I love taking guests from out of town there or going out for a nice relaxing dinner. The food is amazing, you're never rushed through the meal and its really reasonably priced :) In fact - I have reservations for tonight!!

So heres the thing. I eat here ALL the time. It seems that every fifth or sixth visit the experiene is HORRIBLE. For example, the other day two of my friends and I went for dinner. To our surprise FIVE tables that come in AFTER us got their food first and our server claims it was because we got appetizers. That may have been belivable except for the fact that other tables not come in after us. Not to mention the couple behind us that got a 6 course meal AND finished it before us. Poor service, but great food so I guess you have to cut your losses at Spicy Thai. Oh, and when you tell them theres a birthday at the table... they always forget. But that's another story.
