I have been going there for years, love the food. The sashimi is fresh, the combination dish is great. Try the amyaki habatchi if you don't like seafood.
The sushi was FAB! Very fresh. Loved everything except the soup.
The tempura is terrific. The cheese una maki (eel) was awesome.
The astmosphere is my least favorite thing about this place. Very small. Only a few tables, so if its busy you feel like you are part of the table next to you.
Just had take-out from them and for the second time now the food was way under par. The ginger and wasbi must have been in there portion cups for days before they landed in our take out box and the spicy tuna and california rolls also were not fresh at all. Probably made a day or 2 ahead of time. The meal in itself was a real let down. We could have had fresher sushi from the grocery store which is a real shame because Amakara used to be SO good.
My husband and I frequent this restaurant at least 2 times per month both dine in and take out orders. We have taken many friends to this place and it's gotten rave reviews each time. The best thing is that there is something for everyone here to order. I am a vegetarian and there is plenty for me to choose from. We love the food, variety and service we have gotten here. We are considered regulars here. LOVE IT!
Me and my brothers have been going here for quite some time and we love this place, its a great place for any occasion.
Personally i dont eat sushi but my brothers are very picky about where they eat sushi and they say this is the most authentic and fresh sushi they've had.
I love noodles so i tried the Chicken yaki udon the first time i went there, and i fell in love. Very generous portion of udon noodles in an amazing sauce with a large amount of chicken.
We also had fried calamari to start and that also was amazing especially with the sauce it comes with.
Overall this is a great place and you will NOT regret going here at all. Enjoy!
