Jadeland Chinese welcomes you to their restaurant. They are open after-hours all week. You can get there by car. The neighboring location is memorable for its parks.
This is about the only Chinese restaurant located east of Bronson along Somerset St. worth going to. The (no-cart) dim sum is notable for being the cheapest in Chinatown, but can sometimes take forever to come out of the kitchen. The ingredients are not of premium quality, though the food is fairly consistent and tasty. Atmosphere is virtually non-existent, so this isn't the destination for a romantic meal.
Not worth it! I've been to jadeland 3-4 times, and each time it kept getting worse. We used to go fo dim sum, and the meat is just terrible, chewy, tasteless, the seafood isn't fresh, smelly, when I complained to the staff about the ha gao they told me no they taste great and are fresh. Well, that was the last time I went, there are far better places to go for dim sum, only one restaurant is worse than this one.
Close to real China, only with fine Canadian ingredients
Drop in Jadeland before 6pm of after 8 pm, order by numbers: 16, 116, 145. If not satisfied, I'll consume leftovers!
I used be a frequent traveler to China and find Jadeland one of the best places to try real Chinese food.
We ordered a *large* assortment of dim sum between the four of us, and all the food was delicious. I have been eating here for the past year, and I have never been disappointed by the food. Also, the staff is very helpful and friendly, so even if you aren't familiar with dim sum, you are sure to have a great time.
