The original owners founded Brar Sweets in the 1980's, and the first location was established in Toronto which served a limited variety: namely sweets and snacks, such as Samosas, Pakoras, fresh Jalebi and Ladoo. Over the past few years, I've definitely seen a drastic decline in both quality of both service and food. On far too many occasions, they've taken my order incorrectly, provided my order horrendously late, or given me bland/stale/or overcooked food. I had purchased some samosas for and was horrified to see that they were burned on the inside, to the point of the peas and potatoes being blackened. This is highly unethical and a huge health risk. RK Sweets has permanently lost my business!
Brar sweets is very near to my house so i thought i should check it out.I went today with my husband, hoping to find delicious food, but i was disappointed by the amount of soda bicarbonate {meetha soda} added in every dish item,so that people eat less.My stomach started hurting within 15 minutes.I was able to eat only 2 small pieces of naan bread. So much soda bicarbonate is added that every dish tastes on sweeter side, when its not supposed to be sweet at all.
Buffets are over rated in desi places atleast because owners discourage you to eat ever normal amounts by adding soda bicarbonate which spoils the taste of the dish and gives you feeling of fullness even if you have not eaten much at all !!
Service was mediocre, servers were disinteresed, choices of food were limited.
I felt like i paid money for getting a stomach ache from this place.
