We were there last night January 27th. Our server was Greg. He was so attentive and as I said to my family a really nice guy. Dinner was delicious, Greg apologized for not having the regular birthday desert but let me say again the cheesecake was Devine! Thank everyone for making my dinner as wonderful as it was!
Just went and ate at the keg with a group of 8 people. Steaks, salads, bread and all other food was great. Manager (dressed up guys with blazers) were absolutely terrible, as a group we probably spent close to $1000 dollars and manager asked if we could be seated to another place because we were finishing our drinks that we payed for. Absolutely terrible customer service and I will be going to the south end keg if I ever go back....garbage service for people whole probably tipped a total of $150
We were seated fast and in a very friendly manner upstairs in a warm booth. We started with crab cakes which were bursting with fresh crab and fried to perfection. We also ordered a shrimp cocktail that had huge plump and super fresh shrimp. Fresh bread was served warm and with lots of butter. Water was filled in perfect order and our beer and cesars were nice and cold. All 3 steaks were cooked to perfection -- medium rare -- and the mashed potatoes were super creamy. There was no waste with the steaks -- no grizzle or fatty chunks like at some other restaurants. Excellent. Oh -- and the grilled veggies were also perfect. The meal was piping hot and served by a super friendly hostess.
The service was very good and wow the waitresses were beautiful! The atmosphere can impress any date! My uncle, aunt, their baby son and I went upstairs. As I walked to my seat I saw a busy kitchen with lots of waiters and waitresses. The bread at the begining was warm and soft with a chewy crust. Then they brought a plate of finger foods for my baby cousin. I was impressed and that was sweet of them! It consisted of crackers, strawberries, carrot and celery sticks with dip. He ended up gobbling it all up! The whole experience was great until the entrees came. I was a bit disappointed by the food. We ordered a lobster starter and the featured steaks. (with a green apple martini and a virgin pina colada which was pretty good) The steaks were overcooked and roughh! :( For the price we were paying, I was expecting quality steaks cooked to perfection........ the starter was a little bit too salty for my taste too. I've tasted steaks at different restaurants that were better and even less expensive. The food was edible, but I was expecting it to be better.
By far, our favorite "go to" place when wanting a good consistant steak. We've just never been dissappointed at this location or the other one on Wellington.
