The lemongrass soup was wonderful, as was the red curry. I enjoyed the Singa beer, it was an appropriate choice to accompany the spicy food. The service was impeccable and I love the Manhattan style surroundings.
I had made reservations for a Saturday night two weeks prior for 8:00PM. When we arrived, we were greeted and the waiter said it would be a 15 minute wait because the previous table was finishing up. 30 minutes later, we were still not seated. We were losing our patience and about to leave elsewhere. Finally we were seated at 8:40. The restaurant was completely full at this time. The service was spectacular. The food is categorized as Earth, Wind, Water, Fire & was one of the best Thai meals our group has ever had, not to mention the presentation. This restaurant itself was gorgeous. The waterfall was a nice touch. The whole experience was wonderful and well-worth the wait, although I will certainly not wait that long again. Definately a hot spot.
I went for dinner with my husband for our anniversary by recommendation and we were fairly disappointed with a few things. First of all we had to wait 10 minutes for our table, yet we had a reservation. We were then sat beside a group who were annoyingly loud. It was difficult to converse through the voices, not to mention the music. It was loud and it wasn't even Thai. A Thai restaurant should play classical Thai music. The lights were so dim we couldn't even read the menu. My husband forgot his glasses, they gave him a magnifying glass which helped. The food was fairly good and the service was ok. We received a complimentary cake with a sparkler which was very nice. I wouldn't recommend this place for quite romantic dinner.
The food has always been delicious and this was probably my 4th or 5th time going since it opened. I was slightly disappointed with the cashew chicken this time because, having gone to chef school, i know what fresh chicken and reheated chicken tastes like. I do not enjoy reheated chicken and for that reason, the cashew chicken this time was not the best I've had. The deep fried wontons however are delicious, in the past I have also had the mango salad and the fresh rolls. All are delicious. So a word to the owners if you are reading this, stir-fry chicken takes 3, maybe 4 minutes to cook(shorter than the veggies), maybe sacrifice your ultra-fast service for fresh cooked food.
