Terrible experience. Ordered for just eat and they cancelled my order without letting us know, because we used a just eat coupon (this was never mentioned anywhere that we couldn't use this). It wasn't until I called to add something to our order that they let us know it was cancelled. This was at least 15 mins after the order was placed and the credit card was charged. The woman was incredibly rude (after I waited on hold forever) and blamed it on us. Never again
I don't expect much from these 'out of the box' chinese restaurants. There are tons of them and usually I know what to expect from them. I do get the craving from time to time though, this such craving happened on a sunday night. I check and was pleasantly surprised they were still delivering for several more hours. The food unfortunately took over an hour to get to me, I wrote it off as being late sunday and didn't complain. The food unfortunately was hardly edible, it was all very tough, bland, boring. The sauces were thin and didn't really taste like anything. I don't even know what else to say about them but I wouldn't be surprised if they gave me food that had been sitting around all day. I was given a free vegetable roll as part of a promotion and was surprised to find that it clearly had pork in it. I'm not a vegetarian so it wasn't a big deal (other than the pork being chewy and overcooked) but that kind of carelessness worries me.
Food constantly going downhill over the last 2 years, sauces thin, no meat in wontons, bean sprouts not fresh tough, lots of cheap veggies and definitely not fresh. Chicken dishes did not even taste like chicken, no white meat. Fried rice dry and over cooked. Food cold when delivered, wrong order received. Will never order from this restaurant again.
We used to live right down the street from Chopstick House and we were craving Chinese food one night so we gave it a try. Maybe it was because we were really hungry, but we generally liked our meal. However on subsequent visits, we realized how terrible the food was. Everything tastes exactly the same: as if cigarette ashes were used in place of spices/seasonings. I am Chinese and I have nothing against North American style Chinese food, but their food is gross. Not recommended unless you are trying to quit smoking and craving bad Chinese food simultaneously.
Favourite Chinese food in London! Never dissatisfied... Delivery time is sometimes a little longer ... But I assume that's only because they are in High demand :)
There's no place to sit here. The inside was dirty and the man serving didn't speak English well at all. Won't be back
Ordered take out from here several times years ago with friends when I hung out with the guys that ran Wizards Arcade. Almost always getting the chow mein noodles with beef. From what I remember, the portions were huge, more than one person could eat. Anyways, because of things being screwed around with family, I decided to order from here on Christmas Day. I ordered the number 8 which came with steamed veggies, vegetable fried rice and chicken balls. The meal was pretty filling overall and I have no complaints in the least. I only had to wait about five minutes for my meal to be brought out to me. Next time I order from here, I won't leave a six year gap in between my visits. Like I did last time.
I used to live down the street from this place, so I have been there many times. I Always walked to grab a pick up order. Food is always ready when I arrive in the given time slot, service is friendly and fast. Strangely, I have been here over 15 times, and have never seen the same person twice working there. The place itself is just a small building with only a little room to stand/sit and wait for your order. I assume they do a lot of take out. Prices are competitive and about what you'd expect. I always get beef chow mein, egg rolls, sweet and sour chicken, white rice with mixed vegetables, and won ton soup. It is always good, which is why I go back. This is a local neighbourhood favourite, and the reason is the consistency of good food and service.
Always an excellent place for take out. Great portions and tasty food. We always get the spicy beef chow mein (although it wasn't overly spicy tonight). The egg rolls are excellent here as well. Soo chow won ton was decent although I've had some other stuff there that is better. I always find the beef dishes best here.
I LOVED their food! Definitely get their spicy beef chowmein! And their chicken balls are soooo yummy! Generous portions, as well. I ordered, so not too sure what their service is like, but the delivery guy seemed nice. Ordering from them again tonight!!!
Chop stick house is the BEST chinese food we have ever had !!!! The portions are huge and the price is great !! We love it !!! Mmmm chinese food !!!
I like the food. Very good. Good Service, whenever there was a problem they would replace the order or give a discount the next time you order
Chopstick House is Chinese-Canadian food wrought up to a fine art. The most inauthentic, Americanized Chinese fare you can imagine, and quintessential comfort food. The chicken balls and wonton in sweet and sour are like eating candy. Swift delivery. A London institution.
As far as takeout chinese food I have been ordering from chopstick house for years and have always had a good experience. Great work! I have only had a slight problem with the service once or twice recently. (not today though)
I like the food. Very good. Spicy beef as hot as possible. Make me feel all warm inside. Yum Yum.
Its all the way nice, the service is friendly on the phone, the delivery is always efficient, and the food is taste-a-licious.
I love the chopstick house!!!! their spicy beef chow mein is soooooooooooooo good!!!!! i have bever had any problems with their service. we always order from them. in my opinion its the best chinese food place in london. i dont eat at any other chinese place.
Delivery was extremely fast, and the delivery guy was very polite and nice. The chicken chow mein was just average as the noodles were too heavy and lumped together although the chicken was quite tender, dont believe the hype. The cantonese chow mein was slightly below average , not enough seafood flavor and there werent any crispy fried portion to the chow mein. it was also kind of pricey for the portion size. London is not the place to eat chinese food, but if u have a craving then this place is your remedy.
We order from chopstick house all the time. Best Chinese in London.
I honestly thought the food was terrible except the spicy beef chowmein.
