Come savor a yummy dish at Saber's Taste Of India. They are open nightly from Tuesday to Sunday. You can get there by public transit. They are in a dynamic neighborhood acknowledged for its nightlife.
although flavourful the butter chicken pieces were much smaller and fewer than I have normally received in other Indian restaurant in town.
The saag paneer looked like yesterdays version reheated and the spinach was shrunken and dried out and the paneer was dry and fat soaked.
the aloo gobi had very limp cauliflower, and again looked like yesterdays reheated. when I said the cauliflower was very limp, the server told me it was because they had to boil the cauliflower to cook it.
for these reasons I was not impressed with any of the dishes served.
Curry Original is far from being shy of Kingston's best restaurant, with delicious and delectable authentic Indian dishes blended with elegant decor and professional service, I would recommend and have recommended this restaurant to everyone. It was truly a lovely restaurant experience and I'm counting down the days until my next visit!
Food is excellent, make sure to ask your server just how hot your dish is and if he says it's hot, believe him...he means it's hot. Excellent Tikka Massala. This is by far the best Indian Restaurant I've ever been too. Very professional upscale servers.
Ahh the butter chicken...lamb vindaloo...the madras and of course the naan!
I've had Indian cuisine in Toronto and Mtl (with local afficianados who know all the best places) and Curry Original in Kingston is 'well' up there.
If you've not tried Indian food, Curry O is a great place to start.
