Come taste a delightful dish at Wok Express. This restaurant cooks wonton soup and chow mein for less than $10. They are conveniently reachable by public transit but also by car and are situated in an area packed with restaurants, merchants and coffee shops.
Food is terrible I wish I could know it before to spend almost $10.00 for Chinese food that test horrible and also is oily. I will never give another change and also the staff is rude.
This place underwent a remodeling several months ago unfortunately however the food has not been remodeled with it. Keeping in mind this is "fast food" Chinese I wouldn't expect anything great, however this place really falls short on expectations even with it's standard fast food fare.
The food sits under heat lamps for most of the day, and to sum up what I had, the Beef had a bit of a gelatinous texture to it and not much flavor, the Broccoli was overcooked, the noodles a little dried out and bland, and the Fried rice tasted like it was bathed in soy sauce before being served. Combine that with the rabble that frequents Jackson Square and it makes for a less than acceptable dining experience.
There are quite a few very good Chinese restaurants within a 5 minute walking distance from this place that offer nearly as fast service and FAR better food. You'd be better off trying out one of those places, paying the same for better food that did not spend it's entire existence under a heat lamp.
