Since I was young, my involvement with art was nurtured and encouraged by my family. I took great interest in drawing and sculpture throughout my schooling which led me to the studio art program at the University of Guelph in 1997. There I was lucky enough to have the artistic guidance of Peter Johnston to whom I owe much of my artistic growth and knowledge.In July 2001, I began my tattoo apprenticeship at Stigmata Body Art in Guelph under the direction of Randy Larsen. After years of hard work and determination I developed a passion and specialty for tattoos focusing on reproduction and intricate design work. From the start a thorough and informed approach is extremely important in my design process, allowing me to offer many avenues that can be explored. I can’t even begin to put into words at how impressed with Steve I was. This artist will blow your mind with his attention to detail and his fine line work. I would recommend anyone in the area thinking of getting a tattoo to go and see Steve Baker at his shop. You will not be disappointed.
