I TRIED to have my 20th birthday party here, but my group of eight was asked to provide TWO pieces of ID each.
This was ridiculous, but we fished around for passports and health cards and birth certificates. ONE girl "only" had her drivers license (which is enough in ANY other bar in Toronto) but because she didn't have anything else to back it up, OUR WHOLE PARTY WAS ASKED TO LEAVE.
What I gathered from my experience is that the Blue Goose is happy with their handful of silver-haired, middle-aged clients and doesn't want any more business, thankyouverymuch.
The Blue Goose in Etobicoke is over 100 years old, and has seen its share of scenes, with Canadian movies like Men With Brooms and American institutions like American Pie 6 filming there over the years. Numerous Canadian television series also use the bar and grill for filming.
