Come enjoy a delightful creation at August 8. They are open at night all week and are readily accessible by car. They are found in an area packed with stores.
Sushi Restaurants are gaining in popularity and are opening up like wild fire! August 8 adds a twist with offering traditional Chinese dim sum dishes with their large variety of Japanese selection. I've been here maybe 5,6 times and always left satisfied!
The GOOD: Decent Sashimi and overall food seems very fresh and Bonus Dim Sum. Service is generally very prompt and most of the time accurate with orders.
The BAD: Inconsistency in presentation and preparation of orders. When busy, staff mix up or forget orders. Deserts are traditional Japanese All-U-Can Eat options.
The UGLY: Parking on a busy night!
Great place if your a sushi pro or just getting your raw taste buds wet. August 8 offers a large variety of cooked and uncooked items.
It has nothing to do with the food and you probably don't care but I was married on August 8th, 2008!
I've been to August 8 about 5 times since it has opened. Last night I went again with 2 of my friends and it was fantastic. The Sashimi is always delicious and fresh tasting and the choices are incredible. We were so full afterwards. Our server was super friendly and attentive. I'll be back again soon!
This is an all-you-can-eat Dim Sum and Sushi Restaurant. You order from the menu and your food is prepared fresh to order. The noodles and the dim sum were fantastic. We are not big sushi fans so we only tried a few pieces and didn't love it.
Will go back next time with others - it would be a fun place to go as a group.
