JFD did a great job installing vinyl plank throughout my main floor as part of a total makeover. The attention to detail and workmanship, ensured that we would enjoy our floor for years to come. Without being asked Steve even replaced a transition piece with VP because he knew it would flow better. Even for some DIY renovations, there are some final fit and finish jobs that are worth paying a professional for.

Steve installed laminate floors in my home 10 years ago and they still looked good when I sold my house. I bought and renovated a condo and Steve was my only choice for my engineered hardwood floor throughout. He helped me with my choice of colour pointing out the wrap around windows let in so much natural light that I could use a much richer and darker colour than I had chosen. He did a very professional job and I am highly pleased with the result. He is the consummate professional.

We met Steve at a trade show in Barrie. He took the time to explain to us our options for replacing the vinyl cushion flooring in our Kitchen. It was evident to us this was an individual that knows his stuff. We asked for an estimate and he spent the time to go over what he recommended for our kitchen. His estimate was itemized to the point of being able to save some money by doing some of the tasks ourselves. Steve showed up on time and had the work done to perfection. I made the mistake of hiring a finish contractor to install my floors and he was awful. Thankfully I stopped him before he could waste any more of my flooring and called JFD. Steve explained where my contractor had gone wrong (wrong nailer and stapes) and said he would salvage the job. Steve his employees were exceptional and meticulous in their preparation and installation of my engineered hardwood flooring on my entire 2nd floor of my home. Steve was very thorough in explaining that preparing the workspace and ensuring a level and true floor was key to ensuring the kind of consistent quality result most installers don't provide. No shortcuts or compromises with JFD. Steve explained the installation process start to finish and I couldn't be happier. Don't make the mistake of wasting the money spent on quality flooring on a cut-rate install.
