I love Charlie's Steakery! The food is so good! We ordered our sandwiches and was waiting for them. The man behind the counter forgot about our french fries. He was very apolegetic and kind. He said after we get our sandwiches, to sit down and he would bring our french fries to us. We received our sandwiches, which were delicious, and we sat down. After a few minutes, the man gave us our french fries, and a free glass of lemonade. He said the lemonade was for forgetting the french fries. Such a nice guy! The food can't be topped, and I will definitely return again. This is the best fast-food place I have ever been to. The service was excellent!

I've missed this place. Moved to New York 2 years ago and finally made it back. I used to come all the time with my family. The food tastes better than ever and the service was outstanding. Everything from the featured appetizers to the homemade desserts have been a treat to look forward to. My favourite thing to order are the curry fries and the Prime rib dinner on Friday and Saturday night is amazing, but get there early because they can sell out. The prices of the food and drinks are low compared to their high quality. The staff is always welcoming and friendly and treat their regulars like part of the family. I've only been here for the lunch buffet and I recommend it. The wait staff are helpful and the ambiance is first class. The buffet is a great way to experience Afghan food. They usually have spinach, chick peas, lentils, eggplant, potatoes, etc. in addition to the kabobs. When I've been there, they usually offer a couple types of chicken kabobs and two types of meat kabobs. There are usually over ten different choices, so you get a wide assortment of well-prepared and healthful dishes. Of all the vegetables, the eggplant is my favorite. I've taken a few people here and everybody has enjoyed the experience. One guy even said it was his best dining experience ever.

Pulled pork seems to be latest fad. You can even find it at Taco Bell these days! After walking in the area, a friend of mine and I decided to try this joint and indulge in some southern BBQ goodness.
What we ordered is described below. There was no wait time to be seated and the restaurant was moderately busy. Service was friendly and attentive.
As I wanted to try both southern specialties, I compelled my companion to order pulled pork while I ordered the beef brisket platter so we could share and compare. The pulled pork was very tender and it had a classic texture to it. The brisket portion was huge and it consisted of meat served in relatively large bite sized chunks. In both cases, the meat was smothered in a sweet, tangy BBQ sauce. 50% of my brisket was very tender and the other half was a bit on the chewy side. It tasted like regular roast beef. In both cases, there wasn't much of a smoked taste. One could faintly smell smoke in the restaurant but it wasn't reflected in the food we consumed so I suppose this was a bit of a disappointment. Each platter comes with a choice of salad or rather crispy thick french fries in addition to coleslaw, baked beans and cornbread. The cornbread was a bit dry.
I think I will be back for the pulled pork. It appears to be an economical place for lunch with many sandwich platters under $10.

This is by far the best place for Suya in Toronto, Ontario. And perphaps the whole of Canada. Excellent customer relations and perfect suya with an authentic Nigerian flavour and the natural palm juice to wash it down. Oh! Words can't explain the beautiful release of such satisfaction you get. I introduced my Canadian husband to it, and now he is hooked. Pls go there, whatever part of the world you are from, and you will be glad you did.

Jenna, our server, made the experience so enjoyable! We had a retirement dinner last night. We were provided with a wonderful description of the menu. A lot of laughs. Jenna has a level 3 Sommelier course, if you are interested in Wine. She’s Greek, so loves lamb! But watch out, she’s pretty witty having a Bachelor degree Psychology.
