Had the Jacs sub for dinner last night. The Jalapeno cheese bread is Fantastic, there was lots of meat and tasted very fresh. My family loves to get together over breakfast and catch up on each others lives. Our #1 choice for the past 10 years is the Daily Grill. Wait staff are always friendly, and they remember us and even my nephews' orders (which rarely vary). The "Requisite" breakfast is an exceptionally good deal and always arrives quickly and hot! My Mum loves the Belgian waffles, my nephews rave about the pancakes, my Dad enjoys the steak and eggs. We do go for dinner sometimes. The chicken parm is a big serving of homey deliciousness that will leave the hungriest diner full. My husband, who loves a good burger and is picky about what exactly that constitutes, says the Grills' banquet burger is one of the best out there. Good hours. Lots of parking. But be prepared for a wait to be seated for breakfast on Sat and Sun. It's popular!

This classic setting overlooking the river and waterwheel complements the casual, fine dining perfectly. The patio has a great view and a casual menu. Inside the cozy fireplace is very romantic or you can get a very private dining room for business or family events. Food was excellent with good variety and local flavours. going online and checking out menu didn't look too appealing to me. regular food with a high price and over stuffed with "expensive" words for simple ingredients
i had a glass of the Chardonnay from usa. excellent should have order 1.2 liter. i shared the sicilian mussel except made not spicy (don't like spicy food). the broth has aromatic and delightful. nice tomatoes, olives and onion broth. mussels were plump and tasty. the table bread was amazing. i usually steer away from bread because it is dry and garbage. but this was warm, soft and fluffy in the middle with a slight chew and crispy on outside.
i ordered the shrimp and scallop carciofi (fettucine) made without cream and with tomato instead. the pasta was cooked perfectly, scallops a bit fishy, shrimps were poached perfectly. a bit too much tomato but im a bigger fan of cooked pasta perfect el dente.
people sitting around me ordered veggie gnocchi (she loved it), short rib gnocchi (he wolfed it down and wanted more), prosciutto fuselli (she said pasta was amazing too slow portion and prosciutto tasted like bacon, pork chop dinner (thought it was amazing), smoked chicken el la vodka (he said was ok).
food was good better than i expected. a bit over priced but it was a friend's birthday.

Frank's bacon is the best bacon you'll ever have. The atmosphere is a big jovial family. The diner hasn't been updated in 50 years, so it's a major throw back, but it's clean and you can tell that the owners love the place.
The breakfast for $5.95 has three awesome eggs, awesome bacon, home fries and hot buttered toast. SO GOOD!!!
Lunch, try the awesome burger with bacon, cheese and the works for less than $7.

We went there for my son's birthday. I have not been there since they have renovated (which was years ago). Growing up I remembered it was the place to go after a day of fun at sportsworld. The evenings was more the college crowd to just drink and be social. Most recently i took my family there on a Friday night. We had to wait 45 minutes but we didn't mind considering it had a nice lobby with a huge couch. The decor resembled the true north with of course moose heads everywhere. i really liked the stone hearth fireplace. The kids really liked the ancient snowmobile overheard. It was a great experience and the server was really friendly and hospitable. The food was okay, not great. Maybe i should have ordered the lumberjack platter or something. Overall we all enjoyed the experience and would definitely recommend to others.
