Recently opened, this restaurant is closed on Sundays and does not take reservations. Modern decor serving up very good Korean food backed up by 20 years of cooking experience. Excellent service as they checked in on us several times even without having to push the call button. Three of us had the tofu in seafood broth-comforting, bibimbap with spicy chicken pieces, dumplings in beef bone soup-nice mild broth, short ribs-tender, seafood pancake-loaded with toppings, and of course many sides. A Group of work friends and I went to St. Augustine's after work for a couple drinks and some appy's and had the best experience. Friendly and very knowledgeable staff, who were able to describe every one of the 20 something different kinds of beer. The Food was amazing Pulled pork Nachos and Putin was to die for. What a wonderful place for lunch this past weekend! We sat on the small, yet sunny patio out front and loved it. The Gooey Cheese Griller sandwich, the vegetarian sandwich, the spinach salad and french onion soup were wonderful. So yummy! And on Saturday's sangria pitchers are on special...and they were good! Not too juice tasting/sweet like most other places. The only downfall I would say is the bathroom - it was not very clean and wasn't a great way to end lunch! I give it five stars based upon what it is - a clean, safe, and most importantly, cheap place to stay downtown Vancouver. It is exactly what it purports to be. The rooms were almost funny they were so small but it had what you needed and nothing was scuzzy. Share it with a friend and it is the same price as a hostel. Everyone was friendly. Read more
