The inside of this restaurant is quintessential diner. The lady behind the bar was very friendly as was our server. The food came out quickly, hot, and fresh even though it was a busy time of the day. For the price, the sandwich was a little small but given the location so near to Yonge & Dundas I suppose higher prices should be expected. The huevos rancheros came with 2 eggs, a generous amount of black beans, avocado, and chorizo sausage as well as a delicious corn muffin. Came on the basis of great reviews so expectations very high. My gf had a huge fish plate that she thoroughly enjoyed. I had a burger that was exceptionally satisfying. We shared a salad that was sublime. Every patron in the lunch seemed to be sharing our experience which included enjoying the waitresses body and looks. Decor far from eloquent or even upscale but all else including waitress makes up for the modest setting. Read more

How does this place have such a middling rating? Is it simply THE place to watch a game. Any game. As great as the setting is for watching sports, for me the food and beer selection are the heroes. The "wing king" chef earns his title, and the range of beers wipes the floor with Bier Markt. Yes, it's busy on game nights. I ordered from wimpys using just eat. I was worried about just eat because of bad reviews but the delivery man ended up working for skip the dishes. They included everything I asked for (which included 5 maple syrups for the pancakes) the pancakes were huge!! The veggie burger was pretty good and the home fries were so good! It was all still nice and warm when I got it. I would say it was worth it's price too, it was a pretty good deal. Great food!!! Read more

I’ve been to Dog and Bear many times. It’s a traditional British style pub. It’s laid back and chill, not a place for an event but definitely a place to hang out with the friends and grab some pints. I remember coming here in the early 1990s and loved it then. It still has one of the best burgers in town, especially the homemade burger. They serve beer and have a TV as well. I watched the hockey playoffs while having my food. Great food, excellent customer service and hope they do not renovate as I love the classic diner look! If you have never been here, it is a must!
