Be sure to grab plenty of napkins — as the name suggests, it can get messy.
De Farine et d'Eau Fraîche

Le Fameux Cosmos Inc.

The Creation sandwich at Cosmos includes egg, salami, tomato, lettuce and a generous amount of cheese, enough to make you wish you did more exercise. For best results, order with a side of potatoes. La Bistrote

Their Western Sandwich is particularly noteworthy, made with eggs, bacon, cheese, peppers, green onions and basil-mayo on ciabatta bread, all at a reasonable price. Another classic deliciously served up is the smoked salmon bagel, with cream cheese, onions and capers.
Bagel Cafe

They’re all prepared on Montreal St-Viateur bagels, so you know you can’t go wrong. Try Le Montréalais if you want to feel like a local; it’s made with egg, cream cheese, ham, lettuce, tomato, cucumber and Swiss cheese.
