Located in Sherwood Park, this entertaining play palace is a great place for kids to burn off energy for a few hours. In addition to their four party rooms (ideal for birthday parties, with multiple packages available), they have a huge indoor play area, plus a toddler area and restaurant. The menu is quite extensive, with everything from wraps and quesadillas to pizza and salads. Kids must be accompanied by adults (who get in for free and are allowed to play, too!) and everyone must wear socks.
This indoor play area/coffee spot has about 1,000 square feet of space to play, plus tables for parents to sit at while they observe their little munchkins making new friends. Located in Riverbend, Café O Play is a fantastic place to hold play dates, with a decent coffee menu (locally roasted by Caps Coffee). They also serve freshly baked goods and breads, made in-house, in addition to soups, salads and snacks. The indoor playground is ideal for kids up to six years of age, while older kids will love the complimentary Nintendo DS.
I once took my niece and nephew here, and it was crazy fun. It’s an indoor trampoline palace, with a foam pit and countless places to bounce and play. There’s trampoline dodgeball and basketball courts, plus freestyle courts and launch pads. Kids get to burn off all their excess energy, while parents either join them or watch from the safety of one of the comfy leather couches. There’s no minimum age for kids, and you don’t need to remember to bring socks – they’re too slippery on the trampoline surfaces.
With three massive slides, plenty of places to crawl and climb, air hockey, a bouncy castle and more, this is paradise for active kids up to the age of 13. There’s also a toddler area for smaller children, complete with a ball pit and a small slide. The 12,000 square foot facility has tons of tables to sit at, plus a big menu of snacks and greasy treats, like poutine. They also have several party rooms, perfect for birthdays. Do you ever wish that your kids could work out with you at the gym? Well, now they can! This spot has fitness equipment for adults and kids, plus a play gym for children two years old and up. There’s also an area for toddlers, plus lots of tables. The café includes a juice and smoothie bar, which uses freshly pressed organic fruits and veggies. You can also purchase salads, sandwiches, wraps, veggie and fruit trays, and baked versions of typical fast food items, like fries. The facility also hosts gymnastics classes and birthday parties.
This huge play facility includes a kids’ structure, complete with seven slides, a ball blaster zone, spider web, two large ball pits, zip lines, rope climb, a trampoline and 3D motion play games. In the toddler area, you’ll find a car track, slides, blocks, a ball pool and a play structure. There’s also a special room for younger kids to play market and use big blocks. Parents will dig the upstairs lounge, which has playground monitoring screens and kids’ movie channels. Or, hang out in the cafeteria, which also has monitoring screens. Don’t forget to stop by the candy shop!

Parents can join their kids in the trampoline park, which has a giant foam pit for jumping in, plus basketball hoops. You can even start a game of dodgeball once you get tired of jumping around. Birthday parties can take place in the indoor playground, the trampoline park or both. Plus, the four party rooms have themes: tiki island, tropical island, sandcastle and blue lagoon.
Long hailed as the world’s largest indoor amusement park, everyone has childhood memories of going to Galaxyland. Located inside West Edmonton Mall, this spectacular play park has more than 25 rides, plus play areas and party rooms. Kids of all ages will find something to amuse themselves here, whether it’s going around on the carousel repeatedly or riding the Mindbender triple-loop rollercoaster until they throw up. There’s also plenty of games to play and prizes to be won.
