Stéphane Gingras is used to being called Mr. Viau, but don't worry, he won't hold it against you if you call him by the wrong name — a passion for business unites him with the former owner of Tapis André Viau. Montreal is a hub for business and both men understood the city to be a dream location for a born entrepreneur.
Formerly a general flooring store, the original Fleury Street location was completely transformed. Today, it is no longer a simple neighbourhood store; it's a "destination store." "Tapis André Viau is a specialized company that meets specific needs and creates refined and customized furnishings," says Stéphane. Whether he's in the Laurentian region or Sherbrooke, Stéphane is always on site to facilitate the creation of furnishings that will respect his client's personality and budget.
Over the years, the business has adapted to the market, but its service remains unchanged. Listening is always prioritized, says Stéphane: "We have two ears and one mouth, it's not a matter of chance! It's by listening to the client that we really understand what he or she wants, whether they're talkative or not. We have to guess what they're looking for and if the project doesn't make sense, it's up to us to ensure it works!"
