Operating since the spring of 2014, CirQus has managed to quickly enroll both circus adepts and neophytes in its lively classes. With a focus on a wide range of disciplines from the circus world – aerials, handstands and acrobatics, to name a few –CirQus welcomes everyone to its sessions.
"The goal is to make the circus arts accessible to everyone, be them experts or new to the field," says Marina Salonga, co-owner of CirQus along with business partner Elisa Bonneville. "Most of Montreal’s circus schools are meant for professional training; our focus is on the recreational aspect of the discipline."
"We strive for our classes to be social, interactive," Marina emphasizes. "It’s a lot of fun…and a lot of work, of course! But in a friendly setting."
