It has been 20 years since L'Enchanteur has been pursuing its ambition of gathering people around a table with good food, in a warm, hospitable restaurant where one really feels at home.
“The thing I like most about my work as a restaurateur is my contact with people and the opportunities to give each and every one of them a memorable experience,” says Mourad Rhomdane, who co-owns neighbourhood bistro L’Enchanteur with his life partner Sylvie Dupuis. One step inside the café is all it takes to fully understand what Mourad means when he speaks of experiences: the convivial, welcoming atmosphere makes one feel instantly at home. “As a neighbourhood bistro, it’s important for me that our customers feel welcome and at home. Running a restaurant for me is like having friends over for dinner every day,” explains Mourad.
Bistro L’Enchanteur’s menu is as charming as the space itself: continental and French cuisine favourites are featured, recalling all the comfort and refinement of bistro cuisine; burgers, pasta, steaks and salads tempt diners of all ages, thanks to a special children’s menu. As for drinks, one will find a selection of beers, cocktails and mostly private-import wines, alongside some of the SAQ’s finest selections. “Our golden rules are simplicity, authenticity and freshness, all under the aegis of creativity. That is what I think our customers appreciate,” Mourad summarizes.
