Vincent Bergeron and Julien Montpellier met as Université du Québec à Montréal students and immediately hit it off. “We quickly realized that we had the same vision – from our interests to our work ethics. The more we got to know each other, the more we realized we had complementary styles, so we started talking about starting our own business one day; we didn’t quite know what, or when, but we knew for sure we wanted to keep working together,” explains Vincent.
After graduation, the duo got to work honing their skills. “I worked mostly with ad agencies, with smaller teams. That allowed me to experiment with lots of different projects and media, from copywriting to project management. Vincent was more of a corporate type, so our experiences really completed each other,” Julien adds.
Fringant came about serendipitously, when the two associates felt it was time for a new challenge. “The timing seemed good, so we seized the opportunity and founded Fringant in 2013, and we never looked back,” Vincent says.
