Originally from Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Christ Desjardins is a determined man who has fostered an entrepreneurial spirit since early childhood. "At a very young age, I ran all kinds of projects with my friends,” Christ remembers. “We were children, we liked things to happen. When we planned to build a treehouse, we wouldn't just talk about it…Even back then, I was and I still am a great project facilitator."

Indeed this young, dynamic and eloquent entrepreneur hasn’t lost his passion for project management. Christ now splits his time between his full-time role with the sales team at Birks and Mayors and his most recent baby, Bootlegger l'Authentique.

Launched in May 2016, this bar with a prohibition-era aesthetic is nestled on the second floor of a building on Saint-Laurent Boulevard. The premises, which were previously home to a Congolese nightclub, is now a triple-niche establishment; it is both a show cabaret, a cocktail bar and a landmark for whisky lovers.
