I visited last night for the first time for a friends birthday party I have to say the atmosphere was very nice the food was good the only downfall being a disabled person is with the washrooms be in downstairs. Overall it was a good night and a big thank you to our waitress Alley for keeping on top of her toes and making sure everybody had everything they needed in the celebration.

Extremely rude service by older dark haired man on the patio. We never made it to the food and drinks - he was so rude, unaccommodating and had a cruel manner about him our group unanimously decided to leave.

Always a good time in a classic pub setting. Menu is pub fare and always a deal on.

I have been coming to the Wheat Sheaf for years...

I have been coming to the Wheat Sheaf for years now... while I put the food as great overall, that was only in reference to the wings. The wings here are fantastic... I come every week on one of the half price days. Sun, Mon or Tuesday. THe rest of the menu is just ok. Nachos are good... wings are fabulous... I have been dissappointed by most of the rest. But like I said.. this is the place to hit for wings and beer.

Best wings in Toronto

Best wings in Toronto

Located on King West, Wheat Sheaf doesn’t mess around when it comes to wings. It offers the standard sizes like single and double, but if you’re really hungry or in a large group, go for the Slam Dunk - a bucket of 50 wings. The sauces include mild, medium, hot, suicide, BBQ, smokey BBQ, honey garlic and buckets come with carrots, celery and blue cheese dip. There’s also a special flavour every month.

Raise a glass to these historic Toronto bars

This longstanding tavern at the southwest corner of King and Bathurst dates back to 1849 (18 years before Confederation) and was once a favourite watering hole for soldiers from the nearby garrison at Fort York. A sloping French-style mansard roof sits atop the handsome redbrick building, which stands in stark contrast to the nearby glass condo towers. Now surrounded by hip eateries and trendy nightclubs, the King Street tavern still keeps its Old World feel with heavy wooden tables and a well-worn jukebox, although there are plenty of modern big screens and tasty chicken wings to appease modern-day clientele.
