This Scarborough pub-style eatery is a favoured hangout for diners who enjoy traditional pub fare and the kind of easy camaraderie that comes naturally to such an environment. Customers congregate to scarf down such typical tavern offerings as bangers, beans and mash, all-day breakfast, shepherd's pie, and fish and chips. And there's no shortage of the typical pub lubrications with which to help them slide down: there are a dozen beers on tap here, along with a cider, and plenty of canned and bottled suds, and cocktails, besides. I would disagree. The food is not the greatest, at all. Can't rate all of the staff, but one server/bartender we kept getting was aweful. Unattentive. The place was practically empty but still took her soooo long to come around to take the order or to check on us to see if we need another drink. If you're in a hurry, don't go there or prepare to wait. The manager is nice though.
Ordered popcorn shrimp to start and it was excellent. My wife ordered the caesar salad and she found it really tasty.
We then shared the sliders and they were great. Very well cooked and the portion of fries received with the sliders were a perfect amount for two to share.
We would definately return
This was my second time visiting this location and I probably not come back. My usual pub grub order of Fish & Chips was quite a disappointment, mostly made up of gooey half cooked batter with a crispy outside and a spec of fish on the inside. French fries are ok, but not great. The popcorn shrimp appetizer was good. Service was decent.
