I have been to this location twice and everytime I come, I always leave unhappy. The place is so small and the tables are so close together, you have no privacy. Also, it is very loud and you can't even hear the person sitting next to you. There is not one consistent server, there are tons of people that come up to you, it's confusing. The meat is very thinly sliced and burns easily on the grill. The grill flames up often which makes it next to impossible to fry meat without feeling like you're getting burned. I have to admit, the price for the items is pretty good, but the experience is not worth it.
I visit Korean Grill House quite often as the food is tasty and a great value for the price. Service can be tough during busy times, often takes a while to get refills on food and drinks, but when not busy the service is quite fast. Grilling your own food is fun and the marinades are very good. After reading through the reviews here I see a lot of complaints about the fish falling apart and getting stuck to the grill. The secret is to slow-cook the fish on the edge of the grill instead of putting it directly on the flame. Give it a couple minutes longer than you give the meats you put directly over the flame and I guarantee it will be cooked perfectly and will not fall apart or stick to the grill.
Great restaurant, however there were several meats my father and I did not enjoy. The pork and the beef were sliced very thinly to the point that it was coming apart. When you bbq that, all of the moisture is lost and it has very little flavour left. The fish fillet was terrible. It came apart as we were grilling it and we needed to use a spoon to scoop it out. The other meats were pretty satisfying though, i reccomend the salmon and lamb =). The service was way below average as it was not personal and it was VERY slow. When I finished my rice, the waiter took it and never came back for my refill, I had to ask twice for a refill of kimchi and water. The side dishes were medicore but I did like the variety. Overall, I think I would visit this place again with a party or something along those lines. Other than that, I don't think it's worth the money for a casual dinner.
When you go after 9 pm there is a night owl special. 8.99 for all you can eat! Although we didn't really eat the squid the beef and chicken were seasoned nicely. We get to grill our own food so it was fun. They were very quick with the water or rice whenever we asked for it. All I ate was the rice and meat, but it still was worth it.
The price was 12.99 before taxes and tips the Coke was 1.75 with unlimited refills. This is a great price! For dinner I always have to wait outside, since it is so packed. I love the ribs but sometimes there were quite a few that were just fat! All AYCE comes with these mini dishes of bean sprouts, kimchi and radishes. Service is great!
I'll make this simple. This is not a Korean barbecue restaurant. Avoid at all costs. Ask your Korean friends where they would go instead.
all u can eat samon, meat, chicken . . . and the list goes on with unlimited rice, soup, and veggie side dishes [but really it only gets int he way of all the meat and seafood ;)] surprisingly the service was pretty good even tho we went on a friday night and the place was PACKED! bonus, it was funny watching my friend trying to cook her own food . . . thankfully nothin burned lol
Get food!! Great Price!! and lots of fun when you cook the food on that little grill they provide in the middle of the table!! I have been here about 50 times thus far and have yet to be dissapointed!! They also have another location on Yonge and Bloor but there is a long line there!!! I like the Queen St. W location.
Simply put, there was almost too much food. All of the meats are marinated and taste excellent. Lots of variety, friendly staff. DO NOT MISS THIS RETAURANT
If you love meat, this is the place to go. The staff are extremely friendly and the restaurant is just charming. Reservations are a must!
These people will bring you absolutely beautiful meat that you cook yourself until you beg them to stop. The staff, although almost none speak English, are incredibly obliging and friendly and eager to please. Bar none the best food deal on Queen Street, absolutely recommended.
There's a grill at each table and it's a cook-it-yourself thing, which adds more fun to the meal. The lunch menu kind of lacks variety (pork, beef, chicken, fish and squid). The beef and the pork were great, deliciously marinated and very tender. The chicken and the squid were also ok. However, the fish was really flaky. It falls apart on the grill and make it burnt... so my recommendation is to grill the fish last. The meal starts with a bowl of soup for each of us and 6 little Korean vegetarian side dishes. Those little dishes are things like cabbage and bean curd and stuff marinated in some weird sauce. Chances are that you'll like some of them and dislike some of them. I think you can order some of the dishes more too if you like them. All in all it's a pretty cheap lunch considering the amount of meat we ate. If you don't like all-you-can-eat they have a regular menu as well, and you won't have to/don't get to cook your own meat if you order from the menu. For people who'd like to know everything they could about the restaurant (the full menu, operating times, even pictures of the restaurant...), they have a website too!

This AYCE menu is available for those looking for lunch and night owls needing a late-night feast. The items on the menu come raw, but that’s because it’s a barbecue joint, so the grilling happens at the table. The menu includes beef, pork, ox liver, salmon and squid. Side items include steamed rice and beef broth soup. The lunch menu is available 11:30 a.m. until 3 p.m., while the night owl menu is available from 10 p.m. until close.
