This is a very busy location and there can be a wait to pick up previously called in prescriptions. However, I have found that the staff is always eager to help and find ones meds. The owner is an extremely hard working guy and will always go out of his way to accommodate your needs. This is a really great store to do business with. Unfortunately things can and do go wrong, I find the ratings below for this store unfair. Ive always enjoyed doing business here. Will continue to do so too.
'Called in' and 'over the counter' prescriptions are rarely ready when they say they are going to be. When my insurance company would not cover the new drug prescription, i received no phone call & got no medicine. The staff are either running around like chickens with their heads cut off, or standing still doing nothing. To get a consult dates 20 freakin minutes of standing and waiting because no seating and bad time management. owner needs to hire more people.
Pharmacy has terrible customer service, starting with the pharmacist/owner. Rude and totally not helpful. Expect to be kept waiting for your prescription no matter when they promise it will be ready. This has happened way too many times.
Asked to speak with a pharmacist, was on hold for 40 minutes and when finally talked to the pharmacist wasn't very willing to help. Sounded like: we are too busy here, hangup bum!
Not once Not twice but MANY times I have called in my prescription in the morning (1 of the prescriptions I was taking was a narcotic so you can't give them the 24hr notice that they ask you to do) and said I'll pick it up after work that evening around 7PM. Not only was it NOT filled it wasn't even in the computer or the "pharmacist's box" (which is the box that the pharmacists have to approve to fill) that I called in the morning to have it filled. When this happened numerous if times I decided to call to remind them to fill it and that I'll be in after work around 7PM. 1 out of 3 times they had it filled. I spoke to Vinny myself explained what has been happening he apologized but it continued to happen repeatedly for the remainder of my 9 month refills. I have since moved ALL mine my children's as well as my nephews over to Safeway and they open at 9AM and every single medication that is due is filled. I've NEVER had to call and ask them to fill. I'll NEVER return to Shopper's for ANY prescription meds.
