When a need arose for boat canvas repair in the Bobcaygeon area in 1980, it was answered in a very simple but effective way, in a laundry room with a domestic sewing machine, replacing zippers and sewing on patches. When a call came to do something a little more ambitious, to replace a full convertible top, undaunted, but completely lacking in skill, equipment and materials, the answer was 'of course we can'. It took a full 2 weeks to complete the job and, for the record, the top is still functional! Today that same top would be completed in roughly 8 hours. We've come a long way. In 1986 we hired our first 2 full time seasonal employees to meet with the demand of the constantly expanding resale and wholesale clientele.
