had breakfast-I had $1.99 bacon & eggs-Hubby had pemeal-both excellent-service was above & beyond-saw her help a person with a broken foot & walker out the door & then a customer left as she was too slow-get a life.

i couldn't even tell you what i order because the server always brings me the exact same thing without me having to order.
The food is definetely diner food comes in massive portions very reasonably priced. In fun laid back 50's atmosphere. They make great home fries.
I recommend the Macedonian omelette they always chock it full of fillings their milkshakes and floats are good too but very heavy. I definetely recommend this especially for a morning after breakfast.
The food was not bad but the service was horrible, the waitress was nice just poorly trained and very forgetful.. Actually I'll even say the food was bad because toppings were left out of my burger, my salad had no dressing instead I had to ask for it and was brought a scary plastic looking bottle, my float only had one scoop when the menu said three, and my friend's vege burger fell apart with one bite.

all 10 of us had breakfast and milkshakes really helps the hang over from the night before!!!!!!!! The milkshakes were awesome and the breakfast was just the way we like it, and to top it off the server carried all 10 plate in one trip to the table that's crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i have eaten at wimpys before and it has always been ok. not the best service but alright food. last weekend i went there and it was kind of busy but instead of asking if we wanted to sit at the bar the waitress just shoved us at some table in the back where we could barely move. there was newspapers all over the table. the waitress never said n e thing to us and then after about 15 she hadnt come to even ask us our drink orders so we just left!
We found the waitress very unprofessional. She spent most of her time talking to what appeared to be friends. Her voice travelled through the restaurant and seemed to be intentional boasting about the number of hours that she works in a week and that she has three jobs. She was snippy/sarcastic to the cook. The cook was busy enough, but he handled it quite well. When it came time to pay, she took the bill and money and rang it through the till, the whole time continuing to talk to her friends and handed the change over as she was looking and interacting with them. No farewell comment, nothing. She clearly was using her time to socialize.
My family and I pulled off the highway after travelling a long ways, we wanted a good meal that didn't take long and didn't cost alot. We seen the sign for Wimpy's and we had to go. We were so glad that we did. We don't go out for fast food alot but this was one good meal. You get so much for your money. We are coming back again for sure. This Easter Week-end in 2007 the 4 of us back for more

I have visited Wimpeys both here in Peterborough and in Oshawa several times, Always the service has been excelent, the food delicious.
While the price seems to be on the rise, the quality still reflects value.
I have always been happy with Wimpys.
