Downtown ottawa eggspectation. Didn't meet the standard "eggspectations" Didn't receive all items on order and the server she told us to next time remember to ask for it but they don't ask the client if he wants the included item or not that its the client who has to ask for everything? IT'S INCLUDED IN WHAT IM PAYING FOR! Train your staff to inform the clients of all items and choices they have with there food Simple example: the server should ask will that be white or brown bread.
Great service but food was just okay. We added smoothies for the extra fee. At $4.99, there not much more than a glass of orange juice and way more refreshing. California benedict was just okay; they try to present it well but it seemed rushed. There was a reasonable portion of salmon (other places seem to try to skimp). My girlfriend had the smoked salmon omelet which earned only an average review. Our total bill was $53 including coffee, smoothie's and two ~12 entrees, tax and tip. We knew how much we were probably going to spend going in, so no surprise there, but we expected the food to be better. Also, the chef's fruit salad was an orange wedge and a canteloupe wedge. Not quite a salad.
Our server entertained the kids! He did magic tricks at every stop at our tables and really impressed (and entertained) them!
Very good experience overall. We were there on a Saturday morning for breakfast. Our server was friendly and attentive. The food came out quickly and was delivered hot to the table. Our coffee refills came without requesting from more than just our assigned server. The eggs benedict was very good and the potatoes were very nice as well. Even the fruit on the plate seems pretty fresh. We would have no hesitation returning.

Even if you normally avoid chain restaurants on principle, give this one a try. One of just two Ontario locations of a Montreal-based company, its 7:00 am opening time makes it one of the few early-bird brunch choices in Centretown. Not surprisingly, the menu features egg dishes galore, from omelettes to eggs benny, but you’ll also find chocolate chip pancakes, flambéed French toast, lots of fruit and yogurt dishes, breakfast bagels and more, along with fresh-squeezed juices and an espresso bar.
