Best breakfast!!! The eggs benedict and homefries were amazing! Great service and really friendly staff!
Went for breakfast. Breakfast was good. Diner type of restaurant. Big dissapointment was that they only accept Cash.
We went there twice on a recent trip to Ottawa, both times for breakfast. The service was good and the food was quite good. The flooring left a little to be desired, but otherwise it was good enough to have us return. The homefries are great!
For a restuarant less than 2 years old the floor in the front of the house is filthy. Around the base of the seats and under each table the dirt is so deep your could scrape it off the floor. This leads me to ask "what else are the cleaners missing".
I went to the Bramasole on Merivale. Candy was the waitress and she was awesome, great service and great personality. The food was vey good and the coffee was non-stop until you wanted to leave. I went on a Wednesday morning and it was nice and quiet. I heard that on weekends it is quite busy. I can't wait to go back.
The Bramfekta is the best deal going - one eggs benedict, 1 french toast, 1 pancake (you can sub these two for each other), bacon, sausage, homefries and large orange juice for $8.95. Other person in our party is a vegetarian and would really like to see more (or one real) vegetarian option for breakfast. The "Vegetarian Breakfast" is eggs, homefries, and toast. The only true vegetable is the little bits of onions in the homefries. Even throw a tomato slice or two on there.
We recently moved into the neighbourhood and have gone to Bramasole a few times. Each time I say that I will never go back but my husband enjoys the homefries. This time we have decided it was our last. Do not go to this restaurant if you have other stuff to do in your day (extremely slow service) or are hungry (poor amount of food). We waited one hour to be served and the food was cold and did not fill our bellies. By the time we left it was lunch time and I went home and made more food because we were still hungry. This is awful ... and the place is super noisy, dirty and you have to keep asking for a coffee refill! I don't know how they stay in business.
As a regular at "the bram", I love the inexpensive greasy diner breakfast and chill atmosphere. While the service is by no means quick, the staff will never rush you to finish your 6th cup of coffee. or 10th. there are only two waitresses and one cook for the whole place, so meals are slow, but the staff there are super friendly. If you want a quick meal, this is not your place. If you want a relaxed, fun place with great food for a surprisingly low cost, bram cannot disappoint. Furthermore, the homefries are the best in the city, hands down. They alone are worth the wait.
Friendly environment. Nice family restaurant/ cafe. I enjoy their homestyle cooked meals and their friendly staff. I would definitely come back soon. :)
I went on a sunday afternoon and waited about 10 minutes before being seated. We were promptly asked to order 5 minutes later which was great as we were hungry. We both ordered combos. People were seated after us several tables of 2 and a table of 6 was seated 30 minutes after us. 45 minutes after placing the order, they still had not served us. I inquired politely and was told that my poached egg on the benedict would take some time. After over an hour of waiting, we became angry as all other people were served their meals - including the tables of 2 and the table of 6 with poached eggs. After sitting at the restaurant for over one hour and 15 minutes, we never received our food and people were served before us. I do not know if the people were just incompetent. I would never go near this restaurant again. We left without eating and it ruined our day as all restaurants in the area were now closed for breakfast by the time, we had waited so long.
I ordered smoke meat, it was very fatty (not lean at all) I told the waitress (Celine) She was shocked that I thought t was fatty. I told her I wouls take a hot dog instead. I did not want another sandwich that was fatty, so I asked for a hotdog. She said to me that she would check with the cook!!! Why wuls she have to check with the cook??? She came back with a hotdog that was uncook. No coleslaw, no pickle (which I had with my smoke meat sandwich) We have been there at least 15 times (served by Kate mostly and she is the best)without any problems. I was amazed with the service this time. I was not hapy with Celine at all.
Decent diner. I've always had above average food there in a dozen or so visits. This time the homefries could have been a little more cooked and the coffee tasted a little burned (until they refilled it). But the western sandwitch was mighty tasty. Service was great with countless free refills on coffee. This is easily the BEST diner in Ottawa. I know you're thinking your own favorite place is the best, but this diner beats them all in prices, and matches any place in food and service.
Wow, really, really good breakfast, and extremely friendly staff that know when to start a conversation and when to just fill the coffee cup. Great array of breakfast foods. The only points deducted is that it's not open longer hours, and, unfortunately, the kitchen is completely open to the dining area, and breakfast conversation can be drowned out by kitchen clanging.
All day breakfast was perfect for me , fresh and excellent food. Nice diner style decore. My guests had club sand, real chicken breast is used. I will definately return.
Always a great breakfast and a decent lunch. Service is good and very nice. It is a jem in the centretown location. Gets pretty busy sometimes but usually it's service and quality is not hindered. Full recommendation for anyone in the neighbourhood.

Bramasole embodies the classic ’50s diner. With its retro look and small town feel, Centretown’s favourite greasy spoon is a hot spot for locals. Bring your appetite and shine with the Sunrise on Bramsole’s all-day breakfast menu. It includes two eggs any style, ham, bacon or sausage, home fries, toast and coffee.
