I have to say that we've been coming to this place since it opened. We went to Cedar village because we couldn't get to Shawarma Chef, and it just re-enforced why we stopped going. It was not even busy and it was suppertime. We use to go to Cedar Village but, the garlic sauce is a mix of mayo and garlic, you want an extra tomato? pickle? onions on the shawarma? Its all extra costs. The owner, he makes you feel like he's doing you a favour serving you. Now, Shawarma Chef, the mom and dad come out and talk to you, the place is impeccably clean. You want a little extra, no worries, you want extra meat, they charge you a couple of bucks! My kids love the kafta, and we love there chicken, moist, seasoned nicely and bread is always fresh...the other...there's a reason why it gets overly toasted.

Prompt and Professional

The title of the review says it all. Same day service (at more than $100 less than one competitor, same price as another). Came, saw, snaked, cleaned up, explained problem to homeowner, left. Don't let the website pictures fool you; they do residential, as well as industrial and commercial.

Our family lived in the Middle East for a few years and ate great foods and we started craving good shawarmas, humus, etc. when we got back 4 years ago. We tried three other locations in Orleans and Shawarma Chef is our favourite by a wide margin. Humus has perfect consistency, tabouleh is not too dry/wet/salty - just right, shawarmas are great - my son MUST have one a week. Service very friendly. Suggestions: a mid-east decor and music would create a nice ambience and Bedouin bread (very thin) for the shawarmas would be a wonderful option but not generally found in Canada - but would be a nice option. Don't miss this place - your taste buds will thank you!

The retaurant is clean but the food is so very bland. I have never had a more tasteless shawarma. The price is on par with other shawarma shacks, but there is no flavor

I agree with all the prositive reviews.

My husband and I eat here or order out all the time…it is our favourite. It's clean, the staff are courteous and it is evident that the owners appreciate the return customers. It is what a service establishment should be. At work we used to order from another Lebanese restaurant but no more. This is it.

I am a regular here, it has gotten to the point that when I walk in, I don't need to order. The food is always fresh and tasty. The garlic sauce is strong, which I love. The chicken is all white meat, and the place is so busy during supper hours that you never get crispy pieces. The staff is extemily friendly, which makes for a fun dining experience.

Visited Shawarma Chef based on this site's reviews. Went on a Sunday evening, the line up was quite long (20 minutes to get served at the counter) and the food was bland. Unfortunately, the chicken had been roasting for quite a long period and was dry and slightly burned, the fatoush lacks taste and the potatoes were shriveled and dry. Really Lebanese, Kiki's and Cedar Valley have better food.

I have food allergies and as soon as I told them, they were extremely accomodating. They used clean spoons for everything and served me salad that hadn't been "contaminated" with wheat. They're also very nice and seem to really enjoy their jobs. The food is fabulous and the garlic sauce is unbelievably good!

This is by far the best Shawarma place in the city. I have been to many other places that were recommended to me but I always come back to this place. Fresh ingredients and great friendly service. Garlic to die for.

As said in previous review, this has to be the cleanest shawarma restaurant in the city. The food is great, veggies are always fresh (unlike other places in Orleans), always get service with a smile and good conversation. You cannot beat the prices or the portions. I visit over 2 times a week. I will not go anywhere else!

The owners mother makes all of the garlic sauce and falafels from scratch. It is a clean restaruant and their food is delicious! It is usually very busy and sometimes there is a line up out the door. Its the price you have to pay to wait for great food!
