Visited on July Sat July 27th 5pm...This is undoubtedly the most over rated ...wayyyy over rated restaurant in all of Niagara Falls . Prices are ridiculous . Keg prices for wine . The food is the farthest from real Italian you can get . I get it they have a band every night so ya gotta pay the band hence ridiculous prices for pasta meals etc. that cost them a couple bucks to make. I had the margarita pizza ..over all it tasted like a pizza you can buy in the fancy section at farm boy frozen ..h
The worst place I ever been to. The food is cold and not fresh.
The worst ever server, disgusting food we've ever had with my husband. We decided today, August 21 to have a late night dinner at this place as my husband is curious to eat here. Our male server, who didn't even introduced his name was very rude. We ordered prime ribs and mine was still fatty, barely had real meat, sauce was very salty, green beans was mushy. Bread was hard as a rock, dressing salad was sour almost like it's just a vinegar. Server didn't even apologized for my nasty food.
Sub-par service, swearing staff, overpriced, food well below average.
My girlfriend and I were visiting out if town and were on our way to Applebee's (we didn't feel like trying anything from reviews and wanted a comfortable setting for the first night) and noticed that My Cousin Vinnie's had an incredible display of flowers outside. I turned to my girlfriend and said let's try here as we wanted to have something that we can't have in Toronto, and if they take care of the outside that much, then I hope and believe the same for everything else as well. We were definitely not disappointed. The staff were friendly, the atmosphere was nice (we chose the patio and it was great, except the bees, but that's just nature) and our food was excellent and delivered in a fast time. All in all, I would suggest anyone and everyone to try this place. Great in all aspects and I would definitely done again.
well the food is ok but i was recently hired...and ricky the manager just politely removed me off the schedule with zero phone call or a reason. i have called the restaurant 5 times and he will not even SPEAK with me. i have had several compliments on my service i provided so why they treat their staff that way is beyond me. so now i have no rent money and no reason why i was removed. real nice place! kinda sad actually.
My boyfriend and I, as well as his sister and husband, went to Vinny's, first I want to say i'm the worst food critic around..lol....the service we had by DAN, can i say amazing, he laughed, he talked about the owner, the chef, even the history of the restaurant, A true member of the family chain, The food was incredible, we had spaghetti and meat balls, all i can say is WOW!!!... Like i said i`m pretty picky when it comes to restaurants, The best food by far, as well as service, and pricing....If you happen to go, please ask for Dan as your server, he will make you smile, and make sure you have the best experience. Can`t wait to go again..
We recently went to this restaurant on a cold January evening. After a quick temperature drop the parking lot and walkways were covered in ice, making it very difficult to get into the building with our elderly mother. There was no attempt to put down salt on the entrance way. Seating was quick but otherwise the service overall was not great. Food took a long time to arrive and empty plates were not removed promptly. During the course of the meal the waiter never once came by to see if everything was Ok. We asked at one point for a water refill but that did not arrive. The food was edible but nothing outstanding and was way overpriced for what we got. We would not return again. There are too many other mediocre restaurants that charge much less for the same food.
I recently read a review here in which the author said that he doesn't know why people complain. Well, I'd like to tell you, since I think people should know. I worked at this filthy pit for less than a day(I was so disgusted that I walked out mid-shift). Most importantly, it should be noted that when I walked into the kitchen for the first time, the first thing I saw was an insert of haddock under the heat lamp, left there to thaw. It was not thawed under refrigeration, it was not thawed under running water, it was thawed under a heat lamp. It was not busy in the restaurant at the time, it was early afternoon and between the lunch and dinner rushes, so it's not like it was needed urgently. I turned the corner to find a box of bacon left on the counter, also to thaw at room temperature. I was so appalled that I mentioned to the "chef"(if he can be called that)that the potential for bacterial growth using these methods was highly dangerous, and he replied that there was not time to thaw it properly, and it was no big deal, they do it all the time. As I needed the job, I decided to try to stick it out, but when I started to run low on shrimp for the shrimp cocktail, I had to go to the fridge-where I found food stacked on the floor in the middle of a huge puddle! I took the shrimp back upstairs, but when I inspected it, it was covered with white spots; a sure sign of freezer burn, and one of the worst examples of it that I have ever seen! When I began to throw out the shrimp, I was stopped by the "sous chef", who told me there was nothing wrong with it. My training as a chef leads me to know that he was wrong, DEAD wrong. So, needless to say, it was at this pont that I walked out, as I will not be a party to giving people food poisoning. I highly recommend that people do not eat at this restaurant, I hope that somehow the Health Board can become aware of the dangerous and potentially lethal food practices going on in this food factory.
The italian food there would be better made by the general factory workers at the Alphagetti plant. Poor food very processed tasting. Poor serivce Poor Experience.
We ate at My Cousin Vinny's once during our stay in Niagara Falls, and it was the last night there and we wish if we would have tried it before-we would have eaten there every night! The food and the service was great! We really enjoyed eating on the patio outside , the street of fun! We loved that it was attached to our hotel so getting there was a breeze! Highly recommended for a fun and delicious meal.
My family and I decided to play tourist for the day in Niagara Falls on Family Day since it is a short drive for us. The best part of the day was our meal at My Cousin Vinny's. The food was excellent with generous portions and a fantastic selection. Service was prompt and efficient. Such a homey, welcoming environment in the restaurant....you really do fell like you are at your cousin's house. We will definitely be back!!!!!
I surprised my girlfirend with a mini vacation to Niagara Falls for our anniversary. So glad to have found My Cousin Vinny's where you didn't need to break the bank to enjoy a quality meal with good service unlike so many other places in Niagara Falls.
What a great place to celebrate my father's birthday! The staff were so fun and friendly and accomodating. My dad is a real pizza lover and had heard about the delicious pizza at Vinny's. We agreed since it was his birthday afterall, but were DELIGHTED at the menu selection....we didn't need to get pizza. Instead we enjoyed pasta, steak, and salmon. The tiramisu was to die for!!!!
Having read the latest reviews we, 2 couples, visited the restaurant mid March. The new chef we were told they have must worth the money. Food was fantastic. Service was really good. We had a great time and great food.
For sure a good restaurant. It looks nice inside and the food was very good. Will eat there again. We liked the draft beer options and the service too.
Visit Niagara Falls for March break. We ate at the reastaurant wife, 3 teenagers and me. Food was really good, reastaurant is nice, waiter and manager were very helpful and enjoyable. We all liked it a lot. Worth visiting.
we been in diferent restaurant in the falls food was good but in vinnys the foot was so testing like my granma food ,that is we was looking all the time like back home(dance for me)woooh, cocktail
Once again, I was thrilled with my experience at My Cousin Vinny's. We started with bruschetta bread with cheese and spinach and artichoke dip....DELICIOUS!!!! We ordered veal parmigiana, eggplant parmigiana, ribs, lasagna, and two grilled cheeses for my young nephews. The staff couldn't have been more friendly or patient with my 1 and 3 year old nephews. Despite the generous portions, we managed to thoroughly enjoy the tiramisu and apple crumb with Italian coffees. Another happy memory created at My Cousin Vinny's which is why I will always be sure to dine here when the opportunity arises.
My girlfriend and I ate there on Saturday. I live in Niagara Falls and we had eaten there before last summer. I don't know why people complain but the food was excellent. Very good sized portions and the pasta was really good. The waiter told us they have a new chef and that the food is really good. And that's what we thought too. They also have draft beer which was nice to have.
