Poor service . i booked the room for doble bed on the dat before valentines. The reception asked me if i want to go to king size bed. I agree. When i check my credit card they charged me. Didn’t clarify to the customer that you have additional charge. otherwise , i won’t take the King Bed. What a disappointement .

Poor Service, Friendly Staff, Mediocre Food

Every table had a candle but ours. She forgot the bread basket. When we were seated we were being rushed to order, when we said we would like to just have a drink first before ordering, she didn't come back for ages. The vegetables were so undercooked I could get them on my fork, salmon slightly overcooked, steak was great. Many complaints from tables around us. Coffee served to us in error. The restaurant could have held many more guests, I wonder what the service would have been like then?

meh- okay i guess

Based on the atmosphere of this hotel and restaurant, i was expecting very classy, exquisite food. Besides all the screaming children, running in between tables, it was alright. The buffet- typical: scrambled eggs, extremely watery and stone-cold, poorly undercooked bacon, stone-cold various fruits and cereals. The only up-side to this meal was the chef making made-to-order omelettes and eggs. I asked for over-easycloser to medium eggs, which i received and was quite happy with. Service was okay. Waitress forgot the milk for the coffee, but apologized profusely when reminded.

As this was the OFF season, there was no wait and no true need for their mandatory reservations. We were seated at a window fallsview table with an excellent view of the falls. The buffet is a very typical Sheraton/Hilton all you can eat. Not to say that is bad or good. Just relative. There were very few choices from various groups of food tastes but the ones presented were acceptable. The prime rib seemed fresh (and was a station) but was extremely fatty. The pork ribs were slow cooked and tasty. The crab legs were ice cold and flavorless (served cold not poor presentation). There were two chaffers of pasta, one potato option, two vegetable options, one bread, various salads, a chicken parts (baked)chaffer, one rice option, and a beef rib which was also very fatty. The drinks were average. The service was average and the busser was more helpful than the wait staff. The dessert table was a bit better but mostly cake based with 1 jello option and a pretty good bread pudding (hot chaffer). They made us feel like they were doing us a favor by allowing coffee to be included but at $35 per person, this was not the best dinner value we came across during this trip. All in all we would most likely not return other than bringing others for the view.
