They did an excellent job shaving my old sheep dog. It was a very complicated job (lots of matted hair) and they were caring and understanding of her special needs.
I should have listened to my gut after reading one terrible review from 2014. My puppy just came back from getting groomed at House of Pet in Manotick Station and she is unrecognizable! I specifically asked not to take more than an inch off. She is shaved down so short and raw we can see her pink skin. Not only is it too short but it isnt even! Her neck hair is almost 1/2 inch shorter than the rest! She looks so unbelievably bad. I would say to anybody to NEVER, EVER bring their pet there.

House of Pet became second home for my beautiful cocker spaniel Chanelle. She loves to go there for a treatming and for vacation when we are away! We are clients of House of Pet for the last 8 years! I am dismayed at the results from a cut my puppy received here. Coco is a Bishon/Shih Tzu and was a confident 9 month old before being shaved and losing most of her whisker length. I had asked for length all over, nothing off the tail and a round face. She was completely, closely shaved all over. Coco is now nipping at her partially shaved tail and is distressed without her whiskers. She is now skittish and insecure. Hopefully these physical ticks will not create permanent personality changes.
They love dogs better say they love animals, I brought my dog for grooming they did a fantastic job, very happy with it. The people who work there are veterinarians with 30 years expirience working with the animals. Absolutely loved this place. They have everything that you might need for your pet. Trust me, You not going to be disappointed!
