East Oro Public School is located on the Eleventh Line of Oro-Medonte Township north of Highway 11 at the 15/16 Sideroad. It is approximately 10km south of Orillia and 20km north of Barrie. The school opened in 1956 combining students from the one-room schoolhouses of Argyle, Rugby, Hawkestone, Nevis, Mitchell Square, Leith's Corners and Jarratt.
