The Dawson Road Family Medical Clinic was established in 2007 as an association of Family Doctors who agreed to work together as means of cost sharing and optimizing patient care- within the provincial governments new framework of a collaborative Family Health Team.
I've seen Dr Dason twice. He's ordered tests, discussed results, evaluated my concerns, and spoken frankly. He is the type of doctor I appreciate seeing. When we first talked, I asked him what his style was. He was surprised to be asked. I told him mine was straightforward: I would listen to him and do what was requested but wasn't an advocate of pills as a solution for most issues. We get along just fine! His nurse partner, Margaret, is efficient and friendly. A good team!
I got into a motor vehicle accident in October and went and saw Dr.schieck’s nurse the day after and was told the paper work would be filled out shortly. It is now December 10th almost two months after my accident and I have yet to get the papers filled out by him. The secretary’s are inpatient except for one that I spoke with. I called today and they were short with me and said have a good day when I was trying to explain I was told I would be followed up with two weeks ago. Frustrating!!!!!!!
The receptionists are absolutely terrible. Rude and not knowledgeable about clinic policies at all. Have had multiple instances of them booking me appointments for routine allergy injections only to show up, sign in, and wait 45-60 minutes only to finally be told they could not provide my injections and I would have to make a new appointment (for 2+ weeks away). These injections are on a schedule and take approximately 1 minute to administer. Super unprofessional and horrendous service levels.
