Kanda Optical was founded by Late Mr. Gautam P. Kanda in 1980s. His son Ashwani Kanda formally opened the first retail store for Kanda Optical in Etobicoke in 1990. The Kanda family is a house of entrepreneurs who hail from north Indian province of Punjab. For generations this family has successfully operated diverse businesses that include fashion garments, traditional goods, real estate etc. in India.
