I go too frosty johns for dinner all the time and there food is phenomenal and absolutely delicious I would recommend there chicken parmigiana and the steak melt and more but don't take my word try it for yourself I hope you enjoy it as much as I do
Well! We decided to visit this Frosty Johns a few nights ago. Our server (no idea what her name was) blonde hair worked behind the bar, came over and greeted us as if we just ruined her life by coming in. Brought us a pitcher and wouldn't let us start a tab unless we gave her an id of which she failed to return at the end of the night. She also refused to give us menus. Once the pitcher was empty she needed to be informed by other servers to come back and do her job. This was the case with all of her tables. It wasn't busy. There was no need for the terrible service. The only person who didn't have ever have an empty glass, was her boyfriend whom she served endlessly all night.
Decided to try this pub after living in area for years. Big mistake. Husband had the fish and chips, it was okay. I had the burger and greek salad. Both were gross, and I wouldn't have it again. Kids had grilled cheese that tasted like garlic bread. Portions are very very small. Food tasted like no name brand. Wouldn't go back there. Much better off as a bar not a food place.
I have two words...Frederick Farfalle! Amazingly delicious. I love pasta night at Frostys for this specialty. Bowtie pasta with chicken in a delicious mild curry sauce. Mmmmm!
Good food for a little pub in a small town like Bowmanville.
Completely forgettable, average, strip mall fair. Which is exactly what I expected walking in so was not disappointed. Nothing about this place stands out, it could best be compared to a plain piece of wonder bread.
The food was delicious, the server was a sweet little peach (my wife caught me checking her out and gave me a smack in the head outside in the parking lot afterwards), and the bill was only 32 bucks and change. What a deal!!! Despite the spousal abuse, I'll definitely go back (but not with the old cow).
I'm only sixteen years old, but me and my friends LOVE going to Frosty John's for dinner, everything is fantastic. I've eaten with my family, which is a party of six, and the service is always quick and friendly. When I go with my friends, the service and food is just as amazing when with my family, despite what most people would think when we walk through the door, "Some dumb kids." We have ltierally been turned away from some restaurants, but not Frosty's which always welcomes with open arms! Their wings are EXPLOSIVE and I just love them any time of day, I'd eat them for breakfast if I could- they're so good I can hammer down a whole pound, and they're enormous! They should be called pteradactyl wings, not chicken wings!
Frosty's is recommended to anyone with taste buds; great food, fast service with a smile, and an overall enjoyable experience.
Came to Frosty Johns for a few drinks and snacks with some friends on a Friday night! The band was awesome and so was our server. We would go back anyday!!!
We have been there a few times after work for beer and appetizers. Usually order a few different things. The food is always amazing. Wings are the biggest I have ever seen. Sevice has always been friendly and speedy. I have no complaints and our group will continue to go there for a sociable atmosphere.

Yes, sometime's the service is a bit slow, and the waitress is not exactly the most friendly. But then, when we go, we are not looking to have a long chat with her, rather enjoy the company of one another.
The food is pretty good, I'd only change the salad dressing for ceasar. Too much of it, and very salty.

My husband and I went on a Thursday for all you can eat ribs very good deal only $17.99 they were amazing, the waitress was on the ball and made sure we had everything we needed even when it was packed in there!
Will be going back regularly just for the ribs alone!
Overall Frosty Johns has great atmosphere and entertainment. I frequent this pub at least once a week, with family, friends and co-workers and would recommend it! The food and service is always good.
I've been here once before a few years ago (2005) and the service was great and the food was awesome. When I went recently the restaurant was full of people drinking and was really loud, which didn't make it a pleasant stay. The service was alright, especially when there was only one waitress and the food was alright. My cesaer salad had a little too much parmesan cheese but otherwise, it was good. The fish was amazing. A little too oily for my liking but I still really enjoyed it and would recommend it. The fettucini looked like it came out of a sidekick's bag and was not really freshly done. It was overwhelmed with alfredo sauce and didn't look too appealing. Portions are good.
The food was sooo good here, very tasty. The service was the best I've had in a long time. This is the only pub I would recommend in Bowmanville. Try it out!
I have eaten at this establishment many times with family, friends and with business colleagues. I have never had anything but a relaxing and satisfying time while there. The servers are very good, the food even better. Great portion sizes! I would highly recommend this pub to anyone. Any negative comments I read must have been from people with a very negative/child-like attitude. Give this place a try. You will be delighted.
The food here is great! Especially the wraps. Wings are pretty generous but often very fatty. As for the service...I've been here many times to meet with friends and the service seems to get worse. The staff are extremely slow and not overly concerned with your table. (even if there are 10 or more) Although the food is great the wait for it is agonizing. It's a good location but needs to screen better applicants!

When we were there the service was SLOW right at the begining of the night. The wings were not fully cooked, the garlic bread was good.. the salad had too much dressing.. made lettuce soggy.
The food was good however, the service was EXTREMELY BAD absolutely no personality our server was Tiffany and she was brutal found out later that she was the Manager, thats pretty funny, she has no clue about the business that was obvious, what was the owner thinking she must put out cause thats the only way she would ever be able to get a manager position.
I will NEVER go back there again. The last time I was there was during the day and we had a server I believe her name was Tracey now she was awesome, knew how to treat everyone that was there and she was pretty busy too, heard shes gone and the place has never been the same. To bad!
