There is something especially satisfying about combining creativity with practicality, which is probably one of the reasons that Ceramics Canada, owned and run by Tanya Leblanc, is so popular.
Step into the Oshawa studio and you’ll immediately be inspired by the shelves full of pure-white ceramics. The pieces, which include mugs, picture frames, dishes and all kinds of knick-knacks, are just waiting for you to leave your creative mark on them. The artistic vibe continues with a spinning potter’s wheel onsite and glass fusing taking place before your eyes. You can let your imagination take over while making a piece for your own home or a gift for a loved one. “Art was a big part of my upbringing,” says Tanya. “My mother did ceramics in the basement and I joined in. I fell in love with it and I love sharing my gift today.”
As well as pottery and glass fusing, you can experiment with stoneware and hand-build clay all in a relaxed and fun environment.
Great place for the entire family! I loved the old place, but the new place at 100 Bloor East, Oshawa is even better! Tons of pieces to choose from to paint- more than I've seen anywhere! Plus they offer glass fusing, stoneware and clay. I've always wanted to try the potter's wheel. :) Time flies by so quickly, I always feel at home and help is there every step of the way. This place is amazing! My kids love PA Day camps... they always want to go back. Check it out!
