Jeni Wright wears many hats: she cares for other people’s animals, reads tarot cards and writes and performs music. But, surrounded by her menagerie of colourful puppets, she is clearly, at the heart of things, a storyteller.
“I can pick up a puppet and create a story about that puppet, or a poem or a song.”
Music has been a life-long pursuit for Jeni. “I’m mostly self-taught,” she says. “I started playing the guitar and singing when I was 15, and then I got accepted to train as a music therapist at Capilano College, and that’s how I got more into music.”
