Food can often be such a comfort, and comfort food is one of the best kinds of food there is. This is the kind of meal that Cravings Restaurant & Lounge prides itself on serving. A fixture of its neighbourhood, Cravings Restaurant & Lounge has been around since 1991. Originally opened as a small soup and sandwich shop, it has since grown into a full-scale restaurant and lounge. An integral part of the small Marpole community, it’s the ideal place to just hang out and enjoy the comforts of a good meal.
In 2012, Hugh Kendall, Lena Clayton and Armin Jiwani bought the restaurant from its founder. Hugh and Lena were employees at the restaurant for many years, so when the original owner decided it was time to retire, he approached the pair and asked what they thought about buying the business.
“It was really important for us to make sure that this neighbourhood gem stayed around,” says Lena. “It’s a part of the community that we’ve grown up and lived in, so myself and Hugh asked our friend Armin to join us in buying the business.”

Great value - Great Food - Great Service
We went to Cravings for Valentine's and it was simply one of the best dinners we have had in Vancouver. The food was excellent and the service was outstanding. They had a great selection of 4 starters and a selection of 4 entrees. We had the " best of both worlds" - an awesome combo of seafood, chicken and steak. The tiger prawns were huge and grilled to perfection. The double bittersweet chocolate cake for dessert was outstanding in both presentation and taste. Great selection of wines - reasonable prices and a very quiet setting. Highly recommend this restaurant.

People have been coming to this longtime Marpole favourite to catch Canucks games for years. The drink menu, meanwhile, has evolved to include plenty of local crafts like Parallel 49 and Red Truck, while memorable food items include the Swiss cheese and pineapple-topped Hawaiian burger and the home baked lasagna.
