This shop is worth the drive from town! Clean, friendly and comfortable. I've been tattooed by Sarah Savage twice and she has blown me away both times. She is extremely talented and captured what I wanted to a T!
If you're looking for an artist who listens to you and conducts herself in a professional manner, avoid Sarah Savage at 2nd Street tattoo in Sidney, BC. She did not draw anything even remotely close to what I asked even after very detailed descriptions and photos. (I asked for dancing people in the woods and a raccoon god with antlers who had his tail wrapped around the dancers. I stressed that the dancers, antlers and tail were the most important but that she could add her own creative flair as long as those elements were involved. She basically heard raccoon, got excited, and totally ignored everthing else i said, cause what she drew was 3 raccoon heads.. no antlers, no dancers and no tail). She continuously pushed back my appointments and cancelled on me for weeks, but still never presented a drawing that had what I asked for, and she refused to return my deposit or to make some sort of compromise. She seems like a really rad and talented person, but having my excitement, patience and money drained from me, I need to put the word out about how she treated one of her clients.
This is a very clean shop, and its owner, Dave, is a terrific tattoo artist. I've been thrilled with his work, I find him easy to talk to, and he always makes me feel comfortable. I would recommend his shop to anybody!
Completely unprofessional- at first he was really nice and liked my ideas, but then said he wouldn't do script names or what I was wanting. When I asked to change dates he just lost it on me. If it wasn't his idea and on his time then forget. I had to go back for my deposit and he was even more rude towards me. I would never recommend this shop. It was a waste of my time don't waste your time either.
