Burgoo came to life because we believe everyone needs a little comfort and a place to enjoy some great comfort food. No matter what the season is, a tiny bit of comfort can go a long way to making someone's day more satisfying. We felt that creating an old-world, countryside ambience in our locations - through earth tones, natural finishes and materials - would harken back to a simpler time. What a wonderful place for lunch this past weekend! We sat on the small, yet sunny patio out front and loved it. The Gooey Cheese Griller sandwich, the vegetarian sandwich, the spinach salad and french onion soup were wonderful. So yummy! And on Saturday's sangria pitchers are on special...and they were good! Not too juice tasting/sweet like most other places.
The only downfall I would say is the bathroom - it was not very clean and wasn't a great way to end lunch!
Overall love the food, great service, fun place!
Burgoo Bistro’s North Van location might be the perfect spot to hit for a little après-ski fun after a day on the slopes at Grouse Mountain. The menu features an array of comfort foods (chicken pot pie, smokehouse chilli, beef bourguignon) and a heart-warming selection of spiked bevvies. Choose from five different boozy coffee options topped up with Grand Marnier, Kahlua, Jameson, Baileys, Frangelico or peppermint schnapps. If coffee isn’t your thing, there’s also blueberry tea with Amaretto and Grand Marnier. Visit on Just For Fun Fridays for $1 off all liquored-up coffees.
This Vancouver chain has become a local favourite. They provide high quality comfort food and specialize in rich and warm stews, soups and sandwiches. Whether you’re looking for a quick lunch or an intimate dinner, you won’t leave disappointed. The focus on fresh ingredients also means the menu changes seasonally, so be sure to check back often.
Burgoo has all the classics mastered. From gooey baked mac and cheese to rich beef bourguignon and thick homemade soups, they all hit the spot on a cold, rainy day. And with four charming locations to choose from in North Van, Point Grey, Kitsilano, and Mount Pleasant, this comfort-food haven is never too far out of reach.
