For decades, Nitza’s Pizza has been a part of the St. Albert community. It has been here through the rapid growth of the city, while providing some of the best pizza and Italian food in the area.
Nitza’s Pizza has always been family run. In 2011, the Halabi family took over the operation. The second generation is currently running the shop, and the high quality and focus on the community has remained. “My dad owned it and passed away recently,” says Odai Halabi. “Now, me and my family try our best to keep the business going, because that’s what he would want. We do our very best to make sure everything is going well. So far business has been booming.”
The donairs are plain, no toppings. We ordered a medium ham and bacon pizza with our 2 donairs, it came with one small piece of ham on each slice of pizza with a sprinkle of bacon on each slice. Will never order from them again.
If you’re not native to St. Albert, you may not know about Nitza’s pizza. A local hidden gem, Nitza’s offers some of the city’s best donair and pizza options (from the Lacombe Park neighbourhood). Admittedly, not a place to go for a romantic, sit-down dinner, but if you’re in the mood to grab some comfort food that won’t disappoint, keep Nitza’s take-out (or delivery) options in mind.
